Gymnema Sylvestre Leaves

Gymnema Sylvestre Leaves are used for making Ayurvedic medicine. These gymnema leaves contain gymnemic acids when react with taste receptors block/suppress the sweet taste for 50 minutes. It has elongated greenish color oval leaves. In addition to this, Gymnema Sylvestre plants are perennial and climber with soft hairs on upper top. These are used against reduction of sugar intake and utilized in processing of mouthwash, tea and sweet food. Gymnema Sylvestre Leaves are also used for treating diabetes, weight loss, eye diseases, allergies, cough and viral infections. It is known as gurmar in India meaning sugar destroyer.
